Several street maintenance projects are planned and budgeted for Waconia this year. On Tuesday, Jan. 16, the Waconia City Council authorized going out for bids on two of them: Burandt Boulevard and a few streets in the Sugarbush and Willowbrook neighborhoods.
The projects are an extension of other recent improvements in those areas. Due to their similarity, city staff recommended packaging both projects together for bidding and construction purposes.
The Burandt Boulevard project is estimated to cost around $317,5000. The Sugarbush/Willowbrook projects, which includes milling and overlay on Courtland East and West in the Willowbrook neighborhood and all streets within the Sugarbush neighborhood, including Sugarbush Lane, Hickory Circle, and Tamarack Lane, is budgeted at $295,000.
