The City of Carver manages ten parks, including Riverside Park on the Minnesota River, which has an archery range, horseshoe pits, primitive camping, a boat launch and is a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Trailhead.

Chanhassen has an amazing 44 parks and open spaces! The city is dedicated to caring for them, as a 2016 citizen survey reflected 94% of respondents rated them as good or excellent. The jewel may be Lake Ann Park, 102 acres of rolling hills and a beautiful, non-motorized lake offering clean water and 100% undeveloped shores.

Chaska has 33 community and neighborhood parks totaling 578 acres. The variety is impressive, from the city’s gathering place at City Square Park featuring Dakota Indian sacred mounds to the boardwalk crossing Clayhole Lake in Fireman’s Park and the public art at Walden Park.

Cologne is true to the Carver County valuation of city parks, totaling eight within its borders. Village Park hosts the annual Cologne Fire & Rescue Drive-in Movie Theatre each August, while Benton Lake is stocked with sunfish and crappies, with a pier, walking trail and picnic area.

Hamburg centers around Bicentennial Park and its baseball fields, basketball courts, playground, picnic shelter, restroom facilities, walking paths and a veteran’s memorial site.

The highlight of Mayer’s five parks may be West Ridge Park and its ADA Accessible Inclusive Playground. A paved trail, picnic tables, a restroom facility and a Little Free Library complement the thoughtful play equipment. 

City parks are scattered throughout Norwood Young America. West Carver Community Pool is the place to cool down in the hot summer months, while South Park has public hockey and skating rinks in the winter.

There is year-round outdoor fun in Waconia’s 18 parks. The Waconia Park, Trail and Amenity Finder lists each beautiful beach, field, playground, sledding hill and more.

Watertown has 17 neighborhood or community parks filled with playground structures, disc golf or natural riverside vistas. The city’s interactive map plots each.
