At the Dec. 19 Carver County Board meeting, Board Chair John P. Fahey presented a year-end report highlighting the county’s accomplishments throughout 2023. Below is a summary per Fahey’s presentation.

Strides continue to be made in the county’s high-speed fiber internet project, and the county “plans on reaching our goal of being the first County in the State with a population over 10,000 and the first Twin Cities Metro County to make available high speed bandwidth for anyone who desires it,” according to the presentation.
