Vics unveil plan for ballpark grandstand

Plans of providing an impressive multi-functional grandstand to adorn an already impressive baseball field in Victoria are taking shape.
Two members of the Victoria Vics Baseball Club on Monday evening displayed a model of a grandstand and other possible improvements at Poppitz Field in Lions Park, and also offered a construction outline.
“My father had a lot of plans for the field and Lions Park before he passed away, and one of the things was a grandstand,” Troy Poppitz, vice president of the club, said in regard to his father Mike Poppitz, the field’s namesake.
