Delicious Eats & Drinks

Stopping for a bite to eat or something to drink is a great way to support locally in Carver County, which boasts a wide-ranging lineup of options in its cities. Restaurant options in the county vary significantly, from lakeside dining to higher-scale Italian and tavern-style fare.

Crooked Pint Ale House in Chaska features American-style dining at its restaurant and bar, and is unique in being attached to the Chaska Curling Center. Visitors can relax and enjoy a meal or drink while having a front-row seat to one of the largest curling facilities by membership in the nation. Over 1,000 members utilize the curling center’s six sheets, while Crooked Pint overlooks the main arena, allowing for easy viewing of live games.

Fireman's Barbeque in Hamburg is another unique local establishment, as its hickory-smoked brisket and pulled pork feature recipes created by actual firemen. Lola’s Lakehouse in Waconia sits comfortably on the edge of Lake Waconia, making for incredible scenery when swinging by for a meal or drink. Lola’s is also known for its events, such as live music, wine tasting and on Thanksgiving Day, a buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For something a bit more exotic, try Mario’s Italian Kitchen in Watertown or Na’s Thai in Chanhassen.

Carver County is also well-known for its breweries, distilleries and wineries. Tasty local beers can be had at Enki Brewing, Schram Haus Brewery and Waconia Brewing in Waconia. For whiskies, bourbons, brandies and more, visit the cocktail and tasting room of J. Carver Distillery in Waconia. Divine wines can be found at Parley Lake Winery, Schram Vineyard, and the Winery at Sovereign Estate, all in Waconia.
